06 Shaft alignment using the SKF TKSA 71 tool

Why is it worth it?

All shafts, couplings of motors, pumps, fans and other rotating machines require correct alignment to ensure long and trouble-free operation. Misalignment errors result in, among other things, increased wear on bearings and seals, increased vibration and noise, and higher energy consumption – which translates into service costs and downtime. Thanks to the modern SKF TKSA 71 device, we are able to perform quick, precise and complete measurements and adjustments.

What does our service include?

– Measurement of the initial condition of shafts/couplings using the SKF TKSA 71 system.
– Identification of alignment inaccuracies: parallel displacement, angular displacement, soft foot (improper machine support) and others.
– Correction of settings: machine displacement, screw adjustment, shims if necessary.
– Measurement after correction, report issuance (printable or PDF file) with results before and after alignment.
– Photo/report documentation upon request.

We offer:

  • Measuring range from 0.04 m to 10 m between measuring heads.
  • Measuring accuracy: < 1% (± 10 µm) under typical conditions.
  • Shaft support: standard shaft diameter 20–150 mm, up to 450 mm possible with extensions.
  • Maximum coupling height: standard ~45 mm, up to ~165 mm possible with extensions.

Benefits for you:

  • Significant extension of machine service life by eliminating the main causes of incorrect alignment.
  • Reduced operating costs: less wear on bearings, seals and couplings, lower vibration and noise levels.
  • Minimised production downtime – quick measurement and adjustment.
  • Possibility to document results for quality audits, maintenance or certification.
  • Professional, top-class measuring device – a guarantee of accuracy and reliability.
